Shari Baber

Shari Baber is the founder and owner of Cut-N-Up & Company, a Boise salon she started nearly 30 years ago.

After years of providing hair care services for adopted black kids; hearing their stories about life living in a family where no one looked like them; watching how their faces lit up when they came into the salon; how they longed to have friends who looked like them and families that looked like their family, Shari found Brown Like Me.

I felt like I could make a difference in the lives of these children and their families by bringing them together often enough to grow real relationships; teaching them about black culture, history and heritage.

My hope is to help these children and their families be  proud of the rich history and strength of being Black in America.
